HackerEarth February Clash

After a few months, my problems are again in a HackerEarth contest. This time it is Clash, which is targeted to experienced programmers.

The contest starts just under 6 hours from now and will last for 24 hours. You can register for it here:

I created two problems for the contest and both are related to graphs. One is a problem with trees and windmills :) while the other one is approximation problem used as a tiebreaker in such contests.

I hope all of you will enjoy the contest and my problems especially :)

See you on the leaderboard!

My approximation problem in HackerEarth November Circuits

HackerEarth monthly long contest starts tomorrow and one of the problems there is my approximate challenge :) The goal will be to find the best walk in a matrix within some constraints. It will be available just from the beginning of the contest so stay tuned.

There are some prices for top finishers, like cash and t-shirts.

You can register for the contest here:

My two problems in June Circuits

Another month, another Circuits contest. It's a long contest by HackerRank. The idea is that new problems go live each day.

The contest starts today, and it's available here:

This month, I'm the author of the approximate problem, called Covering Points, which will be available for solving as soon as the contest start. The second problem I created is the last one going live.

The tester for the whole contest is Bohdan (I_love_Tanya_Romanova), who helped a lot with creating the problems. It was nice to work together again :)

Good luck!

My Problems in HackerEarth June Circuits

June Circuits is live for a week now. Today, the last and the hardest problem created by me went live. It is called Leaf Village and Democracy and the task is to handle a set of upcoming queries. I find the problem really good, especially for these of you looking for not so standard techniques.

There are still 2 days for solving any problem from the contest, so take your chance and do improve your total score :)

May Easy 2016 by HackerEarth with my problems

Hi all,

May Easy Contest by HackerEarth is taking place on May the 1st at 6:00pm CET. Contest duration is 3 hours.

I created all the problems in the contest and it was a lot of fun to do it.

There will be 6 problems to solve, all algorithmic ones, especially targeted for beginners. However, I'm pretty sure that any participant will find them interesting to solve, because only 5 of the problems have a standard partial scoring and there will be one approximate problem.

A little hint for you, be prepared to use some math in the contest :)

As the setter of all problems int the contest, I want to thank the problem tester and editorialist Bohdan (I_love_Tanya_Romanova) for working with me to prepare the contest. It was a pleasure as always!

As a tradition in Easy Contests, the top 5 beginners will receive HackerEarth T-shirts.

Good luck and see you on leaderboard!
